For the Twitter librarians’ #blog12daysxmas challenge, @CeridwynatUni has put together quite the aviary of Christmas bird life.
We also have quite an aviary on our Christmas tree of birds.
They’re a mixture of birds, vintage and new, and some owls and other critters from trips to Japan.
Scattered among the tree are 12 vintage Robins, probably from the 1960s, which arrived from Hong Kong still in their original packaging. It’s always a special Christmas moment taking the robins out of their fragile little packets…
