Queenstown

Another travel diversion for day 9 of #blogjune

I was in Queenstown, New Zealand for a few days this past week for a work conference. What amazing scenery, beginning with flying in over the snowcapped Southern Alps to the world’s most scenic walk to the terminal.

Queenstown is pretty famous for adventure activities but we began fairly gently with a gondola ride up Bob’s Peak for our first evening’s dinner. This was the view from our meeting room the next day…

The Remarkables

And just when you thought the scenery couldn’t get any better, a rainbow appeared…

The promised adventure activity at the end turned out to be a jetboat ride up the Kawarau River which I was a little worried about, but it turned out to be super fun. I would have got straight back on and gone again if we could have.
