Recycling my recycled wool

Now, about that cardigan I was knitting, I should have known something was wrong when the sleeve wouldn’t fit around my wrist…

After stitching together the shoulder seams and a sleeve I realised that it was going to be quite a bit more snug than I was planning for, so I pinned the other sleeve to try it on… way too small.

There’s no way blocking is going to add enough ease to make this a success, so I spent a pleasant evening in front of Project Runway on the TV ripping it out and winding the yarn into new balls.

Rowan Renew certainly stands up to fogging really well. I am going to put it aside until I get back from my Brisbane work trip next week and then see if the yarn has decided what it would like to be next.

In the meantime I’m still working on my moss stitch scarf and spent Friday lunchtime sitting and knitting in the park under the wintry sunshine

I’m tossing up whether to take the scarf project with me to Brisbane or something new, maybe Hannah Fettig’s Man Socks using the Peace Fleece I bought at Brooklyn General Store in New York…
