onigiri おにぎり

breakfast!

Fujimart in Prahran had Japanese brown rice back in stock last week, so I’ve made some onigiri rice balls for Japanese style breakfast along with miso soup, rice and natto – fermented soy beans.

Natto is a bit of an acquired taste, and I’m not entirely convinced I’ve acquired it, but it is super duper good for you. I grilled the onigiri so they’re all toasty and crisp on the outside.
