for day 28 of blogjune
A new arrival in the stash, two skeins of delicious Manos del Uruguay merino/silk blend yarn.
The colour is Augusta, a beautiful blend of grassy greens. This is my first purchase of Manos del Uruguay, so I didn’t know the story…
“Manos del Uruguay, the Hand of Uruguay, is a non profit organisation which assembles over 400 artisans in cooperatives scattered throughout the countryside of Uruguay. The aim of the organisation is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women.”
How brilliant. My yarn is made by Karen.
I’m planning to knit the Serpentello Scarf designed by Ela Torrente.

That is such a beautiful deep green!
I agree — the green-ness is almost overwhelming. It’ll be perfect for that scarf pattern.
